Literacy & Language
Reading, writing, speaking and listening is the foundation for learning and communicating. Without learning the individual stagnates; without communication whole societies will do the same. In it's most basic form it's about learning words and in it's mature form about the sum of all it's parts, about understanding nuance and about context. It's about ideas, expressing yourself clearly, and connecting with the perspective of others. Strong literacy skills help you evaluate information and make informed decisions. A fundamental skill that should be developed throughout a persons lifetime.
